Networking OE
Iuse OE6 for email on a network of 1 PC & 1 Laptop. At present the laptop is set to save email on the server until deleted from deleted folders, this is fine. My problem arises with sent mail, is there any way that I can set up a rule to forward any mail I send on the laptop to an account on the PC. I can do it manualy by adding the acount to the BCC address in the sent message but would like to automat it. Previously I would save the sent message to the desktop of the PC and drag them to the sent folder on the PC. Any ideas pleaseAlbie1 person needs an answerI do too

You can't share the message store between computers, as OE was not built for that and it winds up corrupted. One thing you can do is to copy the sent messages to a folder called Xfer (or anything you want) and have that folder on both computers. Then you can just swap out the entire dbx file (with OE closed) similar to importing a single dbx file (www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#imp1) between the two computers to keep the messages in sync. Alternative, my OEX program (www.oehelp.com/OEX/) will let you import messages from computers on a network, so you could just periodically import the sent items from the other computer with it. steve "albyefield" wrote in message news:98873a73-4950-4a16-a514-d3331e2e25b7...Iuse OE6 for email on a network of 1 PC & 1 Laptop. Thank you Steve,I feel that it is a pity that message rules cannot be applied to sent messages within OE.Albie

You can't apply them automatically, but you can apply them manually. Just to go Tools | Message Rules | Select the rule and Browse to the folderand choose Apply now. steve "albyefield" wrote in message news:e6d65cd9-d241-411b-aa6d-787791fcdaa0...Thank you Steve,I feel that it is a pity that message rules cannot be applied to sent messages within OE.Albie
