Networking Newbie Needs Help!
I have (2) desktop PC's in my home office, an XP Pro (SP3) machine and a new Windows 7 Home Premium machine. Both connect to the Internet via a wired Linksys WRT54G router. I'd like to network the two machines together so that we can share files (mostly access files stored on the XP PC) and printers (also connected to teh XP machine). I'm looking for a set of step-by-step instructions to create this network. Thanks in advance for the assistance!Regards, mucrick

Billy,This was VERY helpful! One more question for you. If there isa folder I want to share that is on my XP machine, MUST it be placed in the Sahred folder, or may I leave it in My Documents and "turn on" sharing permissions? Do you have a set of instructiosn for setting sharing permissions?mucrick
