Networking Issues on Vista Machine
My PC recently started doing some weird things with the networking. When I rebooted a few minutes ago I could not connect to the internet via IE/Firefox/AIM/Skype/MSN/etcI used the IE diagnostics and it said there was nothing wrong with the connection, but does not resolve to any addesses (IP or FQDN)I tried doing some basic command line items and I could see the world (ping cnn.com google.com etc) and it would resolve fineI tried browsing my router by IP in my browsers, didnt work but I can ping it.I decided to try to do the Windows update and it worked... no downloads but it went out and checked. I removed the LAN cable and tried again and it failed quickly, tried again with it plugged in and the update again worked, still no browsers or other apps. This has happened before but now I cannot get it to reconnect
