Networking Headache (Windows 7 PC - Router - Xbox 360)
Okay. I'm a tech guru and such but this little problem of mine is kind of unique or I just can't find the solution on Google yet, but I'm going to give this forum a shot anyway. I have a wireless Windows 7 PC. In order to use the Internet I plug in a Verizon Mobile Broadband USB card. I have a wireless router. I have a wireless Xbox 360 S. I connected my wireless PC and wireless Xbox to the wireless router. I'm able to stream content from my PC on my Xbox. This setup is perfect, clean, and not complex. All I want to do is add Internet to this wireless network. So I go to the bottom right hand of the screen and click networks. It says I'm currently connected to my wireless network (No Internet Access) and Verizon Wireless - VZAccess (Internet Access). The first one is wireless and the second one is Dial-Up and VPN. I then right-click Verizon Wireless - VZAccess (Internet Access) and choose "Properties". Then I click the "Sharing" tab, "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's internet connection, and there is an option below that telling me to choose a Home networking connection. I pick Wireless Network Connection. I then get the error message; "Cannot enable shared access. Error 765: internet Connection Sharing cannont be enabled. A LAN connection is already configured with the IP address that is required for automatic IP addressing. Please help me.
