Networking 32bit and 64bit desktops with different windows programs
I would like to know if I can Network my 32bit Windows XPSP3 home edition desktop, with my 64bit Vista Home Premium desktop, in order to share programs from one desktop to the other? And if so how to do it? If someone could help it would greatly be appreciated.1 person needs an answerI do too

You can certainly network a 32 bit WIndows Xp system with a 64 bit Windows Vista system, but in general, you cannot "share programs". Each program must be installed on the system where you intend to use it. For software that you purchase, whether or not you can legally install it on more than one machine is described in the License Agreement you accept when you install it once. For example, many of the Microsoft Office suites allow installation on exactly one PC when you license it via a Product Key Card. Those same suites allow you to install and activate it on sometimes two and sometimes three PCs, depending on the suite, when you purchase a retail license with installation kit. I know of some software that has no installation process, other than simply depositing the executable in a folder on a hard drive. If the software is freeware, you could certainly put that executable in a shared drive and run it on either PC. Again, though, if it's not freeware, the License Agreement will determine what you can and cannot do legally.Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook]--------------------------------https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/profile/Brian.TillmanIf a reply helps, please vote it as helpful.
