Networked applications slow to load or crash on Windows 7 computer
We have several Windows 7 and Windows XP PC's connected to a server running Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition. The workstations have 4 GB of RAM each, the server has 8. Since moving to Windows 7, our networked applications are very slow to load, or they don't load at all and lock up the machines trying to open them. Even when they do load, the machine is locked up until loading is complete. Opening documents and browsing the network are no problem, though. I emphasize that these are networked APPLICATIONS that we're having trouble with, not documents. We are not having this problem on the XP machines. I have IPV6 disabled on the Windows 7 machines, and I have followed the advice found elsewhere for people who are having other types of slow network issues, all to no avail.

Hi, Please make sure that these applications are fully compatible with Windows 7. You may also try to disable SMB v2 for a test. If the issue persists, I suggest you to contact the software publisher for help. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
