Hi All, Using the adapter settings in the network control panel, I have set the IPv4 settings to a manual address (10.10.10.1). When I look at the ipconfig output, the network id is set to a 169.x.x.x autoconfig address. Only when I reconfigure the adapter to dhcp, save and then alter the address again, it is stored. But after a reboot, the address is set to manual again in ipconfig, while it does display the 10.10.10.1 address in the configuration screen :-s Does anybody know why this is happening? thx, Louis

Hi Louis, I suggest you first remove the driver of NIC and restart the computer. Windows 7 should search driver for the NIC.
