Network problems?
I have a network set up around my house. Normally, this network is labeled as Home. However, when I change ethernet ports between rooms, my laptop cannot find the Home network. Instead, two unidentified networks show up on the Network and Sharing center. I ran the diagnosis, which told me that I had two network connections, and that I should disable one of them. These two unidentified networks seem to be the same one, because when I try to disable one, both networks disappear. I had to run Diagnose and Repair before the Home network reappeared and started working again. The only other way to reconnect to the Home network is to restart my laptop. Does this have anything to do with a firewall? I have a Linksys RVS4000 Router, if that is any help.

Hello Kango, Based on my experience, you can give a try to disable the 3rd party firewall and anti-virus application. Besides, set static IP address instead of dynamic one. Let us know the result if possible. Thanks! Regards, Lionel
