Network problem between Windows 7, Windows XP, and Network Harddrive
How do I set up the IP and Gateway addresses manually on the devices to insure they will talk after being urned off and back on again? ALso, do i need to dowload anything to make the system work?

Hi, Is there a router or switcher on your network? I think a switcher is needed. If you have a router, you may set it as gateway and other devices on the same network segment. (e.g. 192.168.1.X) If you only have a switcher, you could set one machine as gateway and other devices point to it. You may set up static IP and gateway manually like the figure below.
