You have to check few settings.. Ensure that the firewall on both computers are set the enable "File and Printer Sharing" Ensure NetBIOS over TCP/IP is enabled on both computers Try with the following procedure also given in the link http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135 MCT,MCSE,MCSA,MCTS, Server Administrator

Hi, Hi, I understand that you tried to access your friend’s computer and you received the error code 0x80070035. If I misunderstand, please feel free to let me know. To troubleshoot this kind of issue, I would like to suggest the following steps: 1. Make sure that the Network Discovery is enabled. 1) Click Start. 2) Click Control Panel. 3) Click Networking and Sharing Center. 4) Click the Drop Down arrow next to Network Discovery. 5) Click the option, Turn on network discovery. 6) Click apply. 2. Temporarily disable Windows Firewall and Security software, then access your friend’s computer. 3. Ping your friend’s IP address and see if you can ping it. 4. Access the computer using \\IPAddress\SharedFolder. 5. Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP: 1) Go to “Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections”. 2) Right-Click on the connection and choose Properties. 3) Click “Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Version 4” in the list. 4) Click Properties, and then click Advanced. 5) On the Advanced TCP/IP settings windows, go to “WINS” tab. 6) Under NetBIOS setting, click “Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP”, and then click OK.
