Network printer error
I just recently got Windows 7 and when I tried connecting this computer with my network (that's running XP) I came across this error:The credentails supplied coflict with an existing set of credentials. Overwriting the existing set of credentials may cause some running application may cause some running applications to stop function properly. Do you really want to overwrite the existing set of credentials? If you click no, the printer installation closes. If you click yes, another error emerges:The existing set of credentials cannot be deleted. Operation could not be completed (error 0x00008ca).

Hi, Is the machine and the printer in a domain or Workgroup? This issue can occur by incompatible third party programs or driver. Here are some suggestions to troubleshoot the issue. 1. Temporarily turn off firewall and assure the following services are started: Computer Browser, Server, Workstation 2. Create a new user admin profile and check the result. 3. Plug the printer to the local Windows 7 machine and verify whether the printer can be installed. Thanks, Novak
