Network password changed, but not working in Windows
One of our remote users couldn't change his password. I made sure he was connected via VPN and then hit Ctrl + Alt + Del and then Change Password, but it would never work, he'd always get an error indicating that the new password wouldn't take. So, while he was on the VPN I instructed him on how to change his password throught MS Outlook 2003. This change worked for Outlook, Outlook Web Access, VPN, and People Soft (all tied to AD credentials). For some reason though, when he logs into his laptop he has to use his old password. After he changed to his new password he hit Ctrl + Alt + Del and locked the laptop and then tried logging in with the new password, which did not work, and he's also tried changing his password via Ctrl + Alt + Del to both the current password and to a different new password and neither of those work. Can anyone suggest any other ideas? I'd hate to have to ask him to send his laptop into the IT dept.lThank You1 person needs an answerI do too
