Network nodes vanish for Local Vista Roaming user, affects other accounts on PC
Hi,I setup a test Vista Ultimate local user account with a roaming profile on a network share. Now, logging on as this user brings up a "profile not loaded correctly - using stored profile" error message. Further, when logged on, the only node that shows in Network is the local computer (which is a proper computer on WS2K3 AD domain). Normally, other (non-roaming) local accounts can see the server and other nodes listed in Network. If, however I loggon as the roaming local user, I have to reboot to be able to see network nodes with ANY other account using that PC.Since just a test, I have the network share at full control for Everyone, so there can be no question of authorization. Also, I see a notice that the Firewall is set to allow access to this folder. So, what's going on? Is this a W2K3/Vista roaming profile version miss-match? Why do other users on the computer lose network awareness? Will Vista SP1 help? Thanks. BRN..
