Network infrastructure,Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit
Hi,i have 4 pc same Windows OS connected to 4 port LAN wireless router, each time i go click Network to view other network pc and discovery that under Network infrastructure part have show my wireless router device (pls refer picture here " http://inlinethumb14.webshots.com/30477/2805039510048592695S600x600Q85.jpg "),when i try select this network devices right click and select Disable setting all internet connection will become fail/stop working, so how do i hide this Network infrastructure option or any setting? because i want to prevent other my network user to do click this Network infrastructure devices disable setting to avoid internet connection become fail/stop working. thanks~ question

Hi, This is because the router supports the UPnP. The following methods can let the device disappear in the Network Infrastructure. 1. Disable the SSDP service in the Service Manager. 2. using the firewall can block the UPnP packages. Please refer to the following link. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc782539(WS.10).aspx 3. Turn off the Network Discovery 4. Hi~ many thanks to Juke Chou give me a solution! now i have to do is disable SSDP Discovery to solve my temporary problem,but for disable UPnP under my wireless router setting i couldn't find this setting (picture " http://inlinethumb08.webshots.com/48519/2846229430048592695S600x600Q85.jpg ) from my picture post red color mark is correct for disable UPnP setting?if i change disable ,reboot router back totally internet connection become fail,so..ask again disable this UPnP setting under wireless router will affect other network like port forwarding,local file and printer sharing? question

Hi, It seems that the router do not provide a option to only disable the UPnP. the option let you disble both NAT and UPnP function.
