Network indicator disconnected
Hi, I have a windows 7 enterprise installed on my corporate laptop (T61 Lenovo). A few days ago something happened to my network indicator. in turned offline (screen with X on it). The thing is that i'm still connected to the internet and working as usual. It happens with wireless or wired connections. No system restore so I can't go back to whatever was before. Tried to uninstall the network adapters (both wire and wireless) and let windows reinstall them but with no luck. Tried to install new drivers - no go. Tried all sorts of network cache cleaning , windows troubleshooter (to him everything is OK). Tried to create a new user and log in with it and it stayed the same. it's even occurring in Safe mode with networking. even in the Network and Sharing Center it looks ok. What could be the cause for this weired bug ? Regards, Nir

Hi Nir, Based on my research, I would like to suggest the following: 1. Please try the following method to see how it works: After you wake a Windows Vista-based computer or a Windows 7-based computer from sleep or from hibernation, the network icon and the speaker icon in the notification area do not show the correct status 2. Check if you have setup Incoming Connection. Thanks. Nicholas Li - MSFT

I saw it's too simple . did it anyway and it didn't help. This issue doesn't seems to be as simple as it looks....believe me I think I tried every solution given to me.
