Network icon in taskbar always showing Disconnected
Today, the network icon on my Taskbar started always showing the "Wireless networks are available" icon, even when it is connected to a network. The tooltip of the icon correctly states that I am connected, and while it is establishing a connection, the "spinning blue circle" does correctly show up, but there is no way to get it to show the "Connected" icon. The actual Network and Sharing Center correctly shows me as Connected, only the Taskbar icon is wrong. Do you have any idea how to fix this? Thanks! Is there life after the Blue Screen of Death?

Hi The Wireless icon looks like a Bar chart. When Not connected it would display a sign on top of the icon. It spins when it is looking for a connection, when it stop Spining and it is connected it just shows the few Bars that might indictae the Signal Strength. When you point the mouse to the icon, it would tell you what you are connected to. Jack, MVP-Networking. EZLAN.NET

Hi, When the Wireless network is connected, the icon in Taskbar should be the following icon below: Wireless icon Is the icon the same on your machine? If not, please capture the Wireless icon window and upload it here for research. Meanwhile, if the icon still is abnormal, I suggest you upgrade the Wireless adapter driver for a test. Thanks, Novak
