Network hidden shares are no longer hidden.
We have a few hidden shares on a Server 2008 machine , these shares were created with the $ sign ending the share name.. i.e AdminTools$When I useMedia Center and add content from a share on another computer, these hidden shares are visible on the server, not that they can be accessed. The concept of a hidden share is that it stays hidden unless you know the absolute address \\server\AdminTools$to browse. Is there a work around to keep hidden shares hidden ?
