How do I get Vista to prompt me for my network credential when i want to access a share on a server without login into the domain. With XP if you browse a server and go to a shared folder without being on the domain a window appears and ask for your username and password for that server. If you get is right youre in. I've had it work on some version of Vista but can't get them to work on others, for example if i have someone with an HP laptop and not on the domain some will ask for credential. Other manufacture including Microsoft's own version of Vista, i can't get the logging prong. I just get access denied error 0x800700005. I'm assuming it's a setting i have to do in Vista. Thanks
