Today I was using my Windows 7 Ultimate PC ... as usual I have many things open on my desktop (and I leave it running 24hrs for days at a time). I was viewing video through KMP Media player via a network drive. My PC froze, which it rarely does, while I was watching video over the network. I had to hard boot. Once it came back up, I realized there were updates needing to be done. I installed them, then rebooted again. When I opened Windows Explorer and pointed to my Network drives as I always do, all other devices were missing. Here is my network configuration: Master PC (main PC with Windows 7 Ultimate) attached to Netgear WDR3700 router with two separate WHS servers attached. One I use as backup via WHS Connector, and the other I use for streaming via remote desktop. I also have a Popcorn Hour C200 on the network. I have rebooted both WHS servers. I also checked the Popcorn Hour to see if I could access content on both the WHS Media Server as well as my PC. It worked on both accounts. That tells me it's not the network or router. To be sure, I checked to make sure my router was set to support UPnP, and the box was checked. I can also see all my devices as usual in my router (meaning PC, both WHS servers and the PCH C200). Remember, everything was working fine before. But even so, I checked to make sure network discovery is on, file/printer sharing is on, and the appropriate settings are set to Automatic in Services (sorry I don't recall what they are, but they were from this forum). The only thing I can think of at this point is that one of the updates messed up my PC. Either that or somehow a file got corrupted when the system froze during the while streaming from the network drive. I'll try running system file checker next and if there are any issues I'll post them up. After that I am at a total loss. Looking for help, guidance or any suggestions from the experts.
