We have several drives shared on one of our Windows 2003 servers; we just purchased a number of Windows 7 desktops we need to connect those shares to. I can successfully map the network drives on the Windows 7 desktops but every time the machines are restarted they do not reconnect on login. I checked the box to enable that option but it still will not work. Users can double click on the drive and access the drive fine, then the red x goes away and other programs that access the share will work. This seems to only occur when the computer is shut down and turned back on. I have searched numerous forums and technical support articles to no avail. Tried: The microsoft hotfix for timing out connections to server Checked netlogon service was set to auto and started Disabled firewalls Why is it not reconnecting like it is supposed to?
