Network drive reconnect at login
We have several drives shared on one of our Windows 2003 servers; we just purchased a number of Windows 7 desktops we need to connect those shares to. I can successfully map the network drives on the Windows 7 desktops but every time the machines are restarted they do not reconnect on login. I checked the box to enable that option but it still will not work. Users can double click on the drive and access the drive fine, then the red x goes away and other programs that access the share will work. This seems to only occur when the computer is shut down and turned back on. I have searched numerous forums and technical support articles to no avail. Tried: The microsoft hotfix for timing out connections to server Checked netlogon service was set to auto and started Disabled firewalls Why is it not reconnecting like it is supposed to? This is causing major problems for our company. It seems like windows 7 is trying to connect to the network drive before the connection is resolved and the PC's have an IP
