Network connections window...
Hi, Can I be *absolutely sure* that *any* means of communication adapter (3G, 4G and all stuff of external dongles) will show up in this window if installed and in working condition? Or can users set up other means of communicating (though any network or peer to peer) without showing up in the network connections window? Thanks for comments on this. best regards Tor

Hi bushtor, That would be achieved by the adapter driver, so please consult the device manufacturer. Best regards, Karen Hu

Hi, I meant this as a general windows networking question, not device dependent. Can windows have 'hidden' adapters or interfaces not showing up in the above window? I just want to know if Windows can do *any* networking at all via other devices than those showing up in the 'Network connections' window? Sorry for not expressing myself clearly, English is not my native language... regards Tor

Thanks for your comments. I'm writing a software to detect any networking activity during school exams. If you rightclick Explorer's 'Network', select Properties and then click the left pane link 'Change adapter settings', the 'Network connections' window will be opened. This is where network adapters normally are listed and you can Disable/Enable individual adapters or change their properties. I need to detect any cabled and wireless networks, bluetooth in any mode, mobile broadband (GPRS - 3G & 4G), cabled USB connections, old IRdA (infrared) adapters. Can Windows theoretically establish any network connection without the involved adapter(s) is/are being present in the above mentioned Network Connections window? regards Tor
