Network connections is empty.
A computer with Windows XP Home edition is missing all of the icons in network connections. Additionally, the network connections wizard will not start. I followed Microsoft's article ID 825826, How to Troubleshoot Missing Network Connections Icons in Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP, to no avail. In particular, under services an applications, the network connections services is not started and will not start. I got an error message 126, the specified module could not be found. And finally, when I continued through some of the article's other steps, I attempted to verify that the network DLL files are registered correctly. They must not be, because I receive an error that regsvr32 netman.dll failed, again, specified module could not be found. Can anyone help me or do I need to seek out the Geek Squad at Best Buy?1 person needs an answerI do too

Hi Jack,Yes, I have checked both of the network adapters in the device manager and both say that they're working properly. I also followed the custom windows update instruction to find a more recent driver for one of the adapters... but still nothing is working properly. Mind you though, this whole time the computer is still connected to the internet.
