Network connection problems!
Hello. I am currently having networking problems with my computer, which runs Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit. That computer is in another room and should be wirelessly connected to our "main" computer", that is connected to a modem/router that is powered by Qwest. Now, I got on our main computer, downloaded a driver for my NIC, put it on a flash drive, and installed it on the Vista computer, (This one runs XP, by the way.) and everytime I click on the desktop icon for D-Link, this pops up: http://i54.tinypic.com/6xz3pj.jpg I found out it has something to do with my ethernet controller, so I typed in "cmd" in the search box under the start button, and this came up: http://i55.tinypic.com/qpj994.jpg Later, I found my original D-Link install CD and installed it, and everytime I click to open it, this shows up: http://i52.tinypic.com/2rpafsl.jpg I, also, happened to find my motherboard install CD and ran it, and the ethernet pop-up (which popped up everytime I restarted) went away, so it must not be my ethernet. However, I still cannot connect, and I am not sure what needs to be done. Here is my computer information when I run "dxdiag": http://i53.tinypic.com/21raj9.jpg (system tab) http://i51.tinypic.com/oh45q8.jpg (display tab) And, here is more system information when I downloaded the program off the internet called CPUID, I believe. (It is a program that detecs all of your software.): http://i52.tinypic.com/29m613c.jpg (CPU tab) http://i55.tinypic.com/64ms15.jpg (mainboard tab) This is all very frustrating! Much help would be very appreciated. =)
