Network computer access stopped working - one direction only
I have a laptop and desktop both running Vista. I have setup shared folders between the systems. Up until 1 week ago everything was fine. Now my desktop is still able to access my laptop folders just fine, but my laptop cannot even connect to my desktop. I can access the desktop from a different computer on the network. It appears like the connection on my laptop has old data stuck in cache. Can see the computer on the list of Network computers, but get a connection error when trying to select. This connection was setup to sync when offline.

Hi, Thanks for posting! What do you mean by "cannot even connect to my desktop"? Can you ping the desktop? I can ping the desktop. When I tried to access the existing mapped drive or setup a new mapped drive using the computer name I get an error stating 'The target account name is incorrect'. I did find that if I map the drive using teh IP address instead of the computer name I am able to connect. Not sure what might have occurred to cause the use of teh computer name to no longer work.
