Network and Sharing Center behaviour

Hi

I went to my network card and changed in advanced settings not to auto negotiate, and to be at 1GBit/Full Duplex

After I done this the network map on "Network and Sharing Center" just disappeared it says "view your basic network information and set up connections"

But everything seams to be working

I then removed the LLDP, an tried to install it, but it does not let me, it says access denied

I removed the network card and re-installed it and it installs without LLDP protocol, but still all seams to be working properly.

Any ideas why is this happened?

Why you did it? What setting is on active network devices (router, switch,...)? From W 7 we know that what you get is not what you see, at least for a while. Operating system is doing scheduled tests befor the picture changes.

I was only trying some setting changes on my NIC

The network map is gone, the images concerning the connections saying if it a private or public network are also missing.

I'm just curious to find what happened..

I have same problem.

After uninstalling LLDP at network adapter settings it is impossible to install it again because of 'access denied' error.

Atleast my lltdsvc service is running for few seconds when I start it manually.

Could use some help, please.

Network map does not exist in windows 8 according to this site http://www.techrepublic.com/blog/windows-and-office/compensate-for-the-missing-network-map-feature-in-windows-8/
