Network Visible with Outlook, but missing elsewhere
I have Windows 7 Pro (64) and Office 2007. I am not using HomeGroup. I have network discovery turned on Often when I use Start->Network I don't see the other attached computers; I do see Media Devices, Network Infrastructure and Other Devices (the WH Server). Occasionally I will see the other computers. If I do cmd Net View, I see the attached computers and if I do \\computer name I see the computer requested. If I am in Outlook and I want to attach something to a message I will see the other attached computers. The other computers are XP, Vista, and Windows 7 Home (this one attached wireless). I want to see the computers directly with Start>Network. What should I do? Gordon

Hi Gordon, Based on my research, I would like to suggest the following: 1. Temporarily disable all the security software (firewall, anti-virus, anti-spyware, etc.) on all the computers and check how it works. 2. Please try the methods in the following article: Troubleshoot problems finding computers on a home network Hope this helps. Thanks.Nicholas Li - MSFT
