Network Software/Hardware Auditing
Hi,
I was at a technical event recently, and was talking to someone about auditing our PCs hardware/software over the network. I currently use NEWT, which can remotely audit pretty much every aspect of a PC, from the system model, make, motherboard, RAM, etc
to the software installed, hotfixes installed, user logged in etc.
The person I was talking to said there is a new Microsoft auditing tool that is part of the Windows 7 toolkit, which can do the same thing. However, I can't remember what they said the application was called, and I can't seem to find it when googling 'microsoft
network audit', 'windows 7 audit tool' etc.
Does anyone know what this audit tool might be? And where I can download it?
Many thanks
Ben
