Network Problem
While installing Windows 7, Setup detected my Network Card and it worked fine and then suddenly, Network adapter stopped working. Then I restarted the system and it started working again but for few minutes and again it stopped. Then I did troubleshoot amd it said the problem might be with driver so I download Driver from Marvell Website and updated the drivers and still problem persists.I'm using ADSL Broadband and it uses static IP address which get converted to Dynamic after connecting to Network. I'm using Homegroup configuration in Windows 7 Ultimate.

From device manager, what is the model of your network adapter? Is it shown as working?Do you have a combo modem/router or separate devices? Try a restart of the combo or the router. The problem with troubleshooting is that trouble shoots back.

It is onboard Marvell Yukon Gigabit Miniport Adapter.I did some reasearch on this and found that when Windows 7 is idle for more than 5 minutes, then it goes to sleep mode and after recovering from Sleep mode, it fails to detect Network Adapter.Hardware configuration is :Asus P5B Deluxe Board4 Gb RAMDVD Writer2 x 500 Gb SATA HDDNVidia GeFore 7 Series Graphic BoardI never faced this problem in Release Candidate but in RTM, I encountered this problem.

Micrographics,Have you disabled the second PCI Lan in the BIOS? If you don't use it, disable it. Just use the PCI-E lan. Also, you didn't mention if you were using Win7 x86 or x64. The Marvell drivers for Win 7 are x86 (32-bit) only. Did you search the Marvell site using the device id number (88Exxxx)?hereIt's in the details tab of properties of the network adapter, Hardware ID in selection bar.Did you savethe drivers from the RC configuration to use with the RTM?The RTM is a different build and I have seen issues appearing here in Tech Net.Does the hardware troubleshooter provide any help if you run it after hibernation and the issue is active? The problem with troubleshooting is that trouble shoots back.
