Network Path Not Found
I have 2 computers on my home network, desktop and laptop, both running Windows 7 x64 Enterprise. Both are setup on the same subnet and workgroup and have firewall disabled. Network Discovery, NetBIOS, and File & Print Sharing are enabled on both, IPv6 is disabled on both, and I have tried setting the network connection to Home and Work on both. From my laptop, I can see both PC's on the network, but if I try to open the desktop, I get the 0x80070035 The network path was not found error...same thing trying to map to a drive. I am able to RDP to the desktop, by name, from the laptop with no problem. From the desktop, I can see both PC's on the network, and can open and browse both with no problems. I am sure it is something simple I am missing, but I can't find it.

Hello, We may need to collect some information from Event Viewer on both sides. Besides, please check the following two factors: 1. NetBIOS configurations, mentioned in: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itpronetworking/thread/028a3d13-f571-49e0-abe7-1ca61fb92082 2. 3rd party security software. Thanks. Hi, Thanks for the info. Let me know what event log info, or any other info, you need and I will be more than happy to provide it. As for the NetBIOS settings, both PC's have it enabled on both PC's exactly as is mentioned in the other post. And the only security software I am running on each PC is Symantec Endpoint Protection 11, configured as a stand alone client. Also, Windows Defender, and Firewall are both completely disabled on both as well. Thanks, Jonathan
