Network Map (LLTD) any more configuration options outside of the GP configuration?
I have tested the Network Map feature in WIN7, which could be useful, if it hadn't the tendency to not show any map at all if it has problems to get all informations correctly. It would be much more helpful, if in such cases, there existed the (configurable) possibility to let the map show the devices as far as they are detected and just tell, that there was an error, which could lead to a wrong map - or MUCH BETTER give the user the possiblity to correct the map via adding and removing network links? Are there any configuration options for this service apart from the well documented GPO settings maybe via registry editing? The documentation is empty regarding this question. In it's current implementation the map is in no way helpful if you have network problems, because in most of those cases you do not see any map. And in more complex networks, the map often fails, despite of no network problems at all. Wolfgang

The problems are not non-displaying PCs, but the fact that sometimes no map is displayed, because an error occurred during creation of the map. I think this may have to do with stacking of switches and the PC generating the map connected somewhere in the middle of the stack. And I would be interested in a debug?? option, which would allow display of the map even if errors occurred. Wolfgang
