Network Location Awareness Signature
I'm not sure this is the right forum to ask my question, but here it goes:
How does NLA generate the signature of a network that is stored in the registry?
(HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\NetworkList\Signatures\Managed)
I see that if I force NLA to re-generate the signature, it creates it exactly the same. (I renamed a signature, unplugged and plugged the network in again)
I want to use the NLA signatures to provide additional services to NLA, but I'm not sure how to identify the network. I know there should be a NLA API, but I can't find any documentation about this.
A signature looks like this:
010103000F0000F0080000000F0000F0FAEAF65C48F189ECFD808A54896C2919266119666AC568702AB236979AA3E4B3
I already know there's a "static" part in it, because the "010103000F0000F0080000000F0000F0" part is the same for all my stored signatures. But how is this generated?
