Network Icon always say: Disconnected
Today, the network icon on my Taskbar started always showing the "No connection " icon (see screenshot below), even when it is connected to a network. The tooltip of the icon correctly states that I am connected. Is there a way to get it to show the "Connected" icon. The actual Network and Sharing Center correctly shows me as Connected, only the Taskbar icon is wrong. Do you have any idea how to fix this? Thanks! (i have Dutch version of windows) ("Internettoegang" means: Connection to Internet)

I have the same problem with my computer. It always shows the 'disconnected' icon, although I am connected by cell phone network. It used to show the wireless bars, but then I installed a wi-fi card, which I am not presently using, so I disable it. Since then, it shows disconnected, although if I hover over the icon, it says "Vodacom-SA Internet access".[string](0..9|%{[char][int](32+("39826578840055658268").substring(($_*2),2))})-replace "\s{1}\b"

Hi, Please check whether the Network List service and Network awareness service are running. If not, please start them and change the start up type to Automatic. Also, you may temporarily disable firewall for a test. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
