Network Gateway not detected
I've come across an unusual problem. I have a lan of 10 rigs (8 running desktop o/s's, 2 with Server o/s). On downloading my MAPS, I installed Win 7 ultimate 64 with no problems. I tried a test on my wife's machine to upgrade Vista Business to Win 7 Professional, in the safe knowledge that should it fail, I can restore her rig vis WHS.Test went smoothly & compared to problems in the past with upgrading an o/s, I am well impressed with Microsoft & the Win 7 team - Congratulations Guys. However, I decided to upgrade my main workstation & after some niggling problems with programs that stopped the upgrade process, all went well installation wise. But, for the past 36 hours, I have been having problems with it regarding local & net access. Can access the lan & web, but within a minute or 2, it loses connection to both. On running network diagnostic, it states that "Network gateway not detected". On seeing this, rather than panic & try checking settings (just in case it could be the router), checked both local & web access on other rigs on lan. All ok.Shutdown lan, cable modem & router. Reset router to factory defaults, then restarted rig that connects direct to router. Restarted Home Server & checked access via 1st rig - a.o.k. Did the same with each machine until lan fully up & running. A.ok, with the exception of workstation. This time around, I managed to stay online for approx 20 min then lost connection. Changed rj45 cable - no joy. Switched over to 2nd onboard nic - no change. however, a reboot clears the problem until it happens again.Any advice would be most welcome.SystemAsus M2N32 Workstation Professional, 2x 2gb DDR800, Geoforce 9500GT 1gb, Phenom 9500 cpu, 500gb HD. 700w psu.

Tried one of the tips in that thread. Uninstall nic's via device manager. As board has 2, did both then immediately rebooted. So far so good & will keep an eye on it for a day or so. If no further intermittency, will mark as answered.
