Network Drives disappear on Windows 7 (SP 1)
hi, I searched the web and many people have this problem. Just wanted to post here to see if there are some recent hotfixes, solutions... . We have network drives that are mapped through login scripts. From time to time, it shows no pattern and is not intently reproducible, these maps have no connection and show a red x. Users refer to it as "my drives disappear". This happens on Win 7 client with and without Sp1. 1. We are sure there is no problem with the server and the network 2. We tried "NET CONFIG SERVER /AUTODISCONNECT:-1" on the client but it didn't help We have no idea how to solve this issue. Can someone help? thx, hugo

Hi, Can you directly access the shared folders when the issue occurs? I suggest you to disable firewall and anti-virus software for a test first. Usually, this kind of issue is caused by these 3rd party applications. Also, please try to disable NTLMv2 on Windows 7. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
