Network Browser will not open
Hello, Recently, I have been unable to use the network browser in Vista Ultimate x64. When I double click the "Network" icon on the desktop, it opens for 1 second, then immediately closes without any message. Trying to open it again produces the same result. I booted in a minimum safe mode, but it does the same thing. I also have looked at the services ("Computer Browser" and related) starting/stopping/disabling, but I get the same result. I am able to use the "Networkand SharingCenter," but clicking on my router to explore it or the "View computers and devices"produces the same error. Finally, no errors are recorded in the system event log. Any thoughts? Thanks much!
