Network Adapters Problem
I have an XP windows i changed the motherboard of my computer because it was corrupted the problem is when i put the network cable to my cmputer it only give a red lightin the network adapter without a notification the the cable is pluged.i think the problem is from the windows because the old LAN driver is still available but it did not shown because there is no physical connection as the error message shown when i tried to assign an ip to it, the question is how can i choose the default connection adapter???? in device manager the old adapter did not shown to me.1 person needs an answerI do too

Try to uninstall and reinstall the drivers for the NIC. Eventually, try booting in Safe-Mode with networking and see if that resolves the problem.
