Network, no access
Got my new TP-Link router up and running all is well, my spare rig in ther conservatory is connecting to the net fine and it is accessing my main rig but I can not connect to it from my main rig I have done everything I can think of. All open/owned/shared with everyone, so yes all permissions are ok. Managed to get this from event viewer : Windows can't communicate with the device or resource (TREV1-PC) It is available but is not responding to connection attempts. Hi, Can you ping the other Windows 7 computer successfully? What is the result in Safe Mode with Networking? Please enable the following policy for both Windows clients: [Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\Security Options] -Network access: Let Everyone permissions apply to anonymous users. Hi, You can get the IP address of other computer via ipconfig /all command, so try to ping each other to see what the result is. Also, as you said, you bought a new router, please try to update its firmware to check the result.
