Netsh Wlan Add on Vista - Validate Server Certificate not being saved
So, I have a problem with using vbscript to join to a wireless network. It's so very close to working, but there's always one setting that has to be manually changed on Vista computers. Basically, we have a vbscript that calls "netsh wlan add profile" which works perfectly on Windows 7. On Vista, however, it can never seem to keep "Validate Server Certificate" unchecked. My understanding is this is the section of the XML which should handle that - <PerformServerValidation xmlns="http://www.microsoft.com/provisioning/MsPeapConnectionPropertiesV2">false</PerformServerValidation> I exported the profile once with "Validate Server Certificate" selected, and once without, and that was the section that changed. That doesn't change the fact that I'm still stuck when it comes to deploying this profile on Vista computers, though. Is there something I'll have to do different for Vista?
