Netgear n300 wireless PCI wireless adapter will not enable
Running windows 7 64 bit pro This issue has also arisen with other network cards both USB and PVCI of different brands. The adapter shows up under adapters but is disabled when I enable it nothing happens stays disabled. drivers are up to date and is listed as working under device manager. No wireless networks appear. If I disable the Ethernet connection card still will not enable but under connections it states wireless connections are available but none are listed and card will not enable from network adapter settings. I have IPV6 disabled and have tried with it enabled same result.

Hi, Did this issue appear before? Please check the compatibility first, you can check the wireless adapter in: Windows 7 Compatibility Center Also update BIOS to the latest version. Since all wireless card cannot enable in Windows 7, you can go to BIOS to check if motherboard can recognize it. Remove all unnecessary hardware, login with Clean Boot, update the wireless adapter driver. If issue persists, you can create another administrator account and login to check the result. Furthermore, I suspect the motherboard has some issue for wireless card. You can contact the manufacturer to check.
