Net use lpt1 in logon script
My Windows 7 workstation is connected to a 2003 domain. All users have a net use lpt1: command in their logon script to handle printing from some DOS apps. In XP I have a Windows startup script run which disables the LPT1 with devcon so that the net use lpt1 command will work for non-admins. The startup script is as follows: %windir%\devcon disable *PNP0401. I've changed PNP0401 TO PNP0400 as that appears to be the correct value in Windows 7. When the logon script runs in Windows 7 for non-admins, it stops with a prompt for a user name "enter user name for servername". This is how it works under XP if the devcon Windows startup script does not run. Any ideas?
