Net framework 4 error
I'm running Win7 Ultimate 6bit and I get this error when I try to run certain programmes 'To run this application you must install NET Framework v.0.30319'. I do have this version installed and i have tried many other previous versions of net framework to no avail. After searching around apparently the cause of the issue is mscoree.dll from system32, it should be version 4 rather than 2 which it is. I would replace the dll with with the version 4 but my access to mscoree.dll is denied and it won't let me change permissions. Any suggestions?

I Suggest you Replace the "mscoree.dll" by Safemode , because you have a Full Permissions. also you can download the latest Version of .NET Framework here : http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/5a4x27ek.aspx Regards,MCP | MCTS | MCITP

Hi there, thanks for the reply. I have just tried replacing it in safe mode but it still says I need permission from TrustedInstaller to modify the file.

Try enabling the hidden admin account, log into that then reset permissions. You may have to do that from the RE. Everything in this tut. here : http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/507-built-administrator-account-enable-disable.html Regards,MCP | MCTS | MCITP

Hi, I would like to verify what program occurred this error? Please check its compatibility with Windows 7. If it is not compatible with Windows 7, please install the program in compatibility mode. Right click the setup file -> Troubleshoot compatibility -> Try recommended settings -> Start the program -> next -> save the settings. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/default.aspx Regarding .NET Framework 4.0 issue, it is not recommend replacing the file using this method. I suggest uninstalling and reinstalling .NET Framework 4 to replace the incorrect file. 1. Uninstall .NET Framework 4.0 using Cleanup Tool http://blogs.msdn.com/b/astebner/archive/2008/08/28/8904493.aspx 2. Download the latest .NET Framework 4.0 3. Disable your anti-virus software and some security software 4. Right click setup file and run as administrator. You can verify the .NET Framework version from C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework Best Regards, Niki Please remember to click "Mark as Answer" on the post that helps you, and to click "Unmark as Answer" if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
