Need to move Offline Files Path in Windows 7
Dear All, i configured Offline Files and everything was going fine but C drive went full and i had to change path of Offline Files, i searched on the internet and follow this procedure: 1.Create a new folder for your offline files. 2. Open elevated command prompt 3. Take ownership of your old offline files folder. Enter: Takeown /r /f C:\Windows\CSC 4. Disable Offline Files 5. Run the following commands via command prompt: rd /s C:\Windows\CSC mklink /J C:\Windows\CSC “E:\New_Offline_Files_Folder” as soon as i gave mklink command it gives error that Cannot create folder as it already exists, i deleted the old folder but the error remained same. i enabled offline files, it says that offline files are enabled but not activated until i restart the computer, i have restarted it several times but it still gives the same thing. even i try to start the offline files service and it gives me the error. and even i cannot find my old files on C:\windows\CSC any help please...
