Need to disconnect and disable access for a user connected through Direct Access

I have a user with a DA-connected laptop. Now, I want to disable all access on the computer for this user, I can do so by just disabling the computer and user account in AD, however since the user is already logged on to the computer they will still have access to all cached e-mails and offline-enabled files. So how do I force a logoff/shutdown of the DA client? I cant use any management programs or cmd -> shutdown since these won't traverse through the DA tunnel.

So, what's the solution here?
