Need help with WiFi AP Solo 3 in 1 LAN Adapter
Hi, Im running Windows 7 ( build 7000 ) Motherboard is a M2N32 SLI deluxeIm trying to get the solo adapter to work, i plugged it into the motherboard but its not being detected, or detecting any networks. ( I have wireless in my house and i have been using a Dlink adapter with this computer )I want to switch over to the solo adapter that came with the motherboard but i believe that windows 7 is the main culprit here... I have the mobo backup cd but nothing on it can be run because it gives me an error saying the operating system needs to be compatible.I went to the asus website to find anything , maybe vista drivers , i did but they dont work.Any ideas? help? Thanks

Greetings Akashik, just a couple of questions. Have you ever used that adapter before? If so, worked under Windows Vista? x86 or x64?Regards and g'luck.W7 Beta running on an AMD Semprom 3200+ (1800Mhz) with 2 Gbs of RAM and a built-in Nvidia 6100 VGA, and mate, it runs like a charm!

Thank you for the reply Reckon, No i havent used the adapter before, but there are drivers from the Asus website for it to work under vista.I have tried those drivers on windows 7 but it just tells me i need to install the correct operating system, i dont want to go back to any other OS.

The vendor is blocking the driver install to specifically check for Vista. Can you try running the installation with the compatibility troubleshooter? Right click the install, and select 'troubleshoot compatibility'. If it still won't install let me know.Ned Pyle [MSFT] - MS Enterprise Platforms Support - Beta Team

Thanks for the reply Ned Pyle,Your solution worked and the program did install, but there is another problem, the program does not actually detect any networks, but the weird thing is that I do see a whole bunch of networks that are in range in my taskbar now. but the actuall program is not detecting any of them. The only way i can connect is to switch over to my other adapter , ( the Dlink one) and use that. But the asus one is connected and installed with the drivers , its just that the program it uses to connect to the net is not detecting the networks, but i see them in my taskbar, even when i disconnect the Dlink adapter and have the Asus adapter hooked up.
