I got Hughes Net today and was going to hook it up to a desktop using Windows xp home. This computer used Hughes net before and I thought it wouldn't be a problem. Wrong. The tech. found a 1394 Connected but there was no LAN available for him to connect to. The computer was recently restored from a virus and maybe it was not loaded this time. This computer does not have a network card and I was going to get one but I don't know if this has anything to do with a Local Area Network. How could a previous version of Hughes net connect and not this one. What do I have to do to connect this computer to the Hughes Net?1 person needs an answerI do too
