Need a script to enable bitlocker via GPO and backup recovery key to AD DS
Hi, We are deploying 7000+ windows 7 clients in our environment. We are using Windows server 2003. All the necessary changes to the schema has been done and the required GPO settings are enabled. So when the clients are added to the OU bitlocker gets enabled. I'm using a sample script from microsoft to enable the bitlocker via GPO. But the requirement is to store the recovery key directly to AD not to usb. Could you please help me with this script. Sample script i'm using: http://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/scriptcenter/780d167f-2d57-4eb7-bd18-84c5293d93e3Regards, Rafic If you found this post helpful, please give it a "Helpful" vote. You need to post in the WIndows 7 or WINdows Server forums. \_()_/

As yours is a very specialised requirement, and you are using a very long and complex script, I think it would be best to post your question to the Q & A section of the repository script. There you may get a reply from the author of the script.Grant Ward, a.k.a. Bigteddy What's new in Powershell 3.0 (Technet Wiki)

Bigteddy What's new in Powershell 3.0 (Technet Wiki) Grant - the links I posted contain the instructions and scripts required to store teh revovery key into AD along with a complete description of how this works and how to use it. Issues with any of this need to be posted to teh WIndows 7 group and/or the Windows Server group because these are Microsoft utilities. The scritp posted by teh OP is not the correct script to use for updating AD as well as the need to complete the scema adjustments. This should not be undertaken withut a complete understanding of how BitLocker works and how the AD based recovery key is used. The links descrbe the process in great detail. \_()_/
