Folks: I am coming from windows XP, and loved the flexibility and capability of NTBackup; however, Windows 7 has switched to use Windows Backup and Restore Center, which uses the VHD format. I need the ability to have incremental, deferential and full backups, which can be saved on the local disk. I really do not care what file type (.bkf or .vhd) the application uses, but I would like to stick with a standard format and not one that is proprietary. In addition, I always liked how NTBackup would keep file permissions and attributes. Due to the latter, I always used NTBackup to migrate data from one file server to anther during migrations. I need some recommendations on software that will address my needs. Thank you, T
