Need Help Sharing DUN over LAN
I live in an area with only dial up connections to the internet. I have been trying to network my DUN over my 10/100mbps LAN network due to the fact that Fedora 13 does not support USB modem connections that I know of. I am using a Dell Optiplex gx260 as my host computer with windows XP SP3. I am also using a Amer.com FDR 16 port ethernet hub. The hub itself is out-dated in the Amer.com website and I can not find information on it due to the fact that DHCP does not work correctly for some reason. I got it from my school last year. It seems to apply public ip addresses incorectly and no connection is estabished. I have, though, applied ip addresses of 192.168.0.X to each of my computers on the network and advanced file sharing is enabled. The rest of my computers are running Win XP and also one is running Windows 2K. Any and all help would be welcomed greatly.Thanks1 person needs an answerI do too

Ethernet hubs don't have a DHCP server, so they can't assign IP addresses.Enable Internet Connection Sharing on the computer with the DUN connection. I've written a web page with details: XP ICS - Manual Server Setup - Dial-Up Connection .Configure the other computers to obtain an IP address automatically. Don't manually configure the IP address on any of the computers.Boulder Computer Maven Microsoft Most Valuable Professional
