Need (write)access to Samba3-Fileshare
Hi Techneters, i am on the put up a Samba Fileshare Server. The Problem now is that i cant get any access threw Windows 7 Clients.. I can switch threw the Main-Directorys. Subdirectorys and write-operations require special rights. Under Gentoo (GNU/Linux) there no problems with accessing and writing to the Networkdata, but because i cant log on threw Windows with my Samba Acc. - like you can log on by windows shares - samba doesnt gibe me any rights. The Question now is, how i can get WIndows to log on with my Samba username and password to get full access Hope Somebody can help me Regards

Hi, Thanks for posting in Microsoft TechNet Forum. Temporarily disable your anti-virus software for test, or try to boot into Safe Mode with networking to check how it works. If this issue persists, please try the following steps: 1. Type Secpol.msc in Start, open Local Security Policy: 2. Expand "Local Policies" and select "Security Options" 3. Locate "Network Security: LAN Manager Authentication Level" in the list and double-click it. 4. Change the setting from "Send NTMLv2 response only" to "Send LM & NTLM - use NTLMv2 session if negotiated" Hope it helps. Alex Zhao TechNet Subscriber Support in forum.
