Sony Vaio Laptop (PCG series). Have been using internet via hardwire (monitor's blown, using external monitor, limited portability), but want to activate internet via wireless. Receiving message that no wireless networks found in range, despite having other computers int he house on wireless already. According to device list, this laptop has wireless LAN-Express AS IEEE 802.1g mini PCI Adapter installed, and is working properly. I am novice for technical side, but have managed to run all available troubleshooters, downloaded all current Windows updates, checked MS HCL list (this adapter was listed), uninstalled and reinstalled adapter driver, rebooted computer as well as modem and wireless router. Still receiving message that no wireless networks found in range. Any ideas or other suggestions? Is there a wireless on/off switch that I'm overlooking?2 people need an answerI do too
